Weekly Doubles Round-Robins
- Casual Round Robins and in-house leagues provide a weekly opportunity to play recreational tennis all season long.
- The Round Robins attract players of all skill levels. The emphasis is on having fun and playing with a variety of partners and opponents.
- New members are encouraged to participate, as this is an excellent way to meet other members.
- Most operate on a "drop-in" basis. Unless noted otherwise, just show up and play!
Sunday morning Beginner's Round-Robin (11:00am - 1:00pm)
This is intended for players fairly new to the game, from those who have just started out to those who are still learning the fundamentals (below level 2.0). Have fun and learn the game with a variety of others at the same level.
Sunday evening Men's League (7:00pm - 9:00pm)
The Sunday Men's League provides an opportunity for men of all levels to play an evening of doubles with players near their own ability. Play consists of 3 or 4 matches with different partners each week. Many stay for a drink on the balcony afterward.
When numbers permit this league operates more like a ladder than a typical round-robin. Four players of similar ability play on each court, playing 3 matches over the evening (i.e. one with each of the other 3 players as partner). The next Sunday the top two players move up to play at a higher level, and the lower two move down.
If there are too few players present for the format to be played a round robin, a "king of the court" format may be played instead.
Players are requested to sign up each week in advance (although those who just drop in will usually get to play).
Monday Evening Women's Round-Robin (8:00pm - 10:00pm)
Come out every Monday evening for two hours of friendly women's doubles for players of all levels. Please sign-up in advance at the front desk or by phone to ensure sufficient courts will be allocated.
Tuesday Morning Mixed Doubles (9:00am - 11:00am)
Players are paired up for four sets of fun mixed doubles with different partners and opponents each week.
Wednesday Morning Women's Doubles (9:00am - 11:00am)
Wednesday morning's doubles are traditionally a fun and friendly drop-in event. Players are paired up for four sets of doubles with different partners and opponents.
Thursday Morning Men's Doubles (9:00am - 11:00am)
Players are paired up for four sets of fun men's doubles with different partners and opponents.
Friday Evening Mixed Social Round-Robin (7:00pm - 9:00pm)
Drop-in each Friday evening and get paired up with others for friendly mixed doubles. Due to the popularity of this round-robin, players may be rotated on and off the court to give everyone a chance to play. The rotation also can accommodate anyone who may need to arrive late or leave early. Many players stay to socialize on the balcony afterward.
